13th symposium with international participation

THERMODYNAMICS AND MATERIAL SCIENCES

Novosibirsk, 26-30 October 2020

Dear Colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the work of the 13th symposium with international participation.

THERMODYNAMICS AND MATERIAL SCIENCES,

which will be held at the Novosibirsk Scientific Center from 26 to 30 October, 2020.

The symposium will be devoted to discussing the results and prospects of basic research in the following areas - chemical thermodynamics of inorganic systems and physical chemistry of functional materials, which have actively been developed in scientific institutes and universities of Russia and other countries.

At the symposium much attention will be given to modern problems of experimental and theoretical study of the thermodynamic properties of perspective compounds, the development of methods for the thermodynamic modeling of complex multicomponent and multiphase systems, the synthesis and research of the properties of new functional materials.

Since 2000, alternately in Novosibirsk (NIIC SB RAS) and Yekaterinburg (ISST UB RAS), TERMODYNAMICS AND MATERIAL SCIENCES seminars have been held. Then in 2015, when Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute (St. Petersburg) became the organizer of the seminar, they developed into a symposium with international participation.

Previous events have shown the need to form close scientific and technical cooperation in the field of thermodynamics and materials science based on the integration of Russian and foreign research organizations.

Symposium organizers:

  • Section on Chemical Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry of the Scientific Council of the RAS on Physical Chemistry
  • Russian Chemical Society D. I. Mendeleev
  • Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry SB RAS
